Lana Levi is
a Contemporary Visual Artist, living in Malvern East, Melbourne and working out
of her home studio. Lana was born in 1951 in Sydney, Australia. She left
school at 16 to study Interior Design at East Sydney Tafe, working in this field
until completing a Bachelor of Visual Arts in Print-media in 2008 at Sydney
College of the Arts. She then completed a Post Graduate Degree in Education in
2011 out of New England University, Armidale, NSW. She has worked as a Secondary Visual Art Teacher
and is now dedicating herself to her Art Practice.
been in various group exhibitions in Lismore, Mullumbimby and Sydney and always
a volunteer at Art Galleries where she lived. She was a member of Art Angels
Art Group in Taree from 2010-2013.
Lana is inspired from her life’s experiences using imagery which may be from the
natural world or everyday objects. Her work shows a distinctive style with
clear bold compositions using drawing, printing, rich acrylic paint and collage
with various materials including old cards, magazines, pattern pieces and wood.
